Letter from Lehel: Live Streaming

Live Streaming Stats

63% of people watch live-streaming content on a regular basis

If you think live-streaming video is just for Facebook or FaceTime, think again. Many companies successfully use live streaming to connect with wider audiences, engage customers and increase brand awareness.

Why do people love to watch live-streaming content? It makes them feel like they’re getting the most immediate, up-to-date information. Visual connections generate a sense of excitement and urgency—something that’s very helpful in the car business!

A live stream video call is a highly personalized way for dealership employees to connect with customers and prospects. After all, there’s a reason why “show and tell” is better than just “tell.”

At dealerships, live streaming video calls can be used to improve the customer experience and brand perception of your dealership.

Recommended uses include:

  • Follow up with Internet leads
  • Live video vehicle walk-arounds
  • Show customers visual proof of necessary service repairs
  • Personally connect with customers to resolve complaints
  • Unveil a new make/model and showcase its features
  • Conduct a virtual focus group or customer night
  • Feature your dealership staff live at a community or philanthropic event
  • Monthly live Q&A with your GM, service managers or sales managers

One of the greatest things about live streaming is affordability. Let’s face it, many forms of marketing, such as direct mail, email marketing or PPC campaigns, require large investments. Live streaming video is inexpensive and can attract new customers with just a click of the button.

How can you deliver the excitement of live streaming to your dealership customers?

VidCom and StreaMe

VidCom and StreaMe Live Streaming powered by Flick Fusion

Flick Fusion recently introduced VidCom, a multi-platform video communication app that allows dealership personnel to quickly engage consumers. All they need to do is send a video email or video text that encourages the customer to click on a “Video Call” button. When the customer initiates the call, dealership staff is connected to them via a live-streaming, one-way video call. That means the customer can see the dealership employee, but the employee can’t see the customer. The reason we designed this one-way capability is for your dealership’s legal protection.

The cool thing about VidCom is that all communications are captured and stored in the CRM, eliminating “he said, she said” scenarios, and providing sales and training managers with access to every video exchange.

Best of all? Our VidCom mobile app is a multi-platform app that can be used with any phone, computer or tablet regardless of operating system. Most commercially available video chat apps require that both parties use the same operating system; e.g. FaceTime can only be used with Apple devices.

Want to try VidCom out for yourself? Please contact me personally for a demo on VidCom or about any of our products and services!  515-348-8390.
